Weather-proof SA & SAR actuators

Actuators SA3 – SA100 for Open-close duty are rated for short-time duty S2 – 15 min. Special versions for S2-30 min duty are also available.  SA/SAR range actautors comes with various versions of epac integral controls technology from simple Open-close control to the microcontrolled version with logging of operating data or fieldbus interface.

High torque actuators

Multi-turn high torque actuators SA 25.1 – SA 40.1 for Open-close duty are rated for short-time duty S2 – 15 min.

Explosion-proof actuators

Auma India Explosion-proof actuators are developed for installation in potentially hazardous or explosive areas, and are suitable for group II gases.

The enclosures of explosion-proof / flameproof actuators are designed in consideration of clauses specified in IS/IEC 60079-1:2007 & the actuators have been tested and certified by CIFMR, Dhanbad.

Combinations of the multi-turn actuators SA … with AUMA Worm gearboxes GS (< 360◦ angle of rotation for torque) are used in these cases, the output torque can be increased many times.

Nuclear SAI actuators

Actuators SAI3 – SAI100 NORM actuator (without controls) are qualified for use in nuclear power plants in India and for DBE conditions inside and outside containment.

These actuators are suitable for Open-Close duty rated for short-time duty S2 – 15 min.

Combinations with part-turn gearboxes GS

By combining the multi-turn actuators SA with the worm gearboxes GS (Swing angles 80º – 135°), they are turned into electric part-turn actuators for higher torque requirements.

Combinations with part-turn gearboxes GF

For higher torque requirements, the multi-turn actuators SA … can be combined with a lever gearbox GF.

Combination multi-turn actuators SA ... with linear thrust unit LTU

To perform linear movements, e.g. in case of globe valves, the multi-turn actuator SA / SAR … can be combined with the linear thrust unit LTU.

Combination multi-turn actuators SA ... with trunion mounting TM linear unit

AUMA offers customized actuation solution for dampers, chutes, gates, diverters or flap applications, based on thrust and stroke length requirement. AUMA trunion mounted actuators provide linear travel. An attachment to the actuator converts output torque of multi-turn actuator into an axial thrust.

Bevel gearboxes GK 10.1 - GK 40.1

AUMA India Bevel Gearboxes are designed to operate all types of rising or non-rising stem valves and gate valves where thrust may or may not be taken by the gearbox. They are equipped with thrust base for multi-turn gate application.

Bevel gearboxes ABG 10.2 - ABG 35.2

AUMA India ABG.2 Bevel Gearboxes are designed to operate all types of rising or non-rising stem gate valves with higher torque requirements. The design allows for integrating the output drive within the gearbox, thus optimizing the gearbox sizes.

Worm gearboxes GS 40.2 - GS 500

AUMA India GS type Worm gearboxes for without end stops are designed for multi-turn applications.

Worm gearboxes GS 40.2 - GS 125.2, GS 160 - GS 500

Auma India GS type Worm gearboxes are designed for rotation up to 135° with end stop for operation of Ball Valves, Butterfly Valves, Plug Valves, or 360° for operation of Gate, Dampers etc.

Worm gearboxes GF 63.2 - GF 125.2, GF 160 - GF 315

GF series of gearboxes are specially used for actuation of Louvers, Dampers and Butterfly Valves, which require quarter-turn applications. Clockwise rotation at the input shaft results in clockwise movement at the lever.

Actuators SA and SAR

Actuators of the SA type range for open-close duty and positioning duty are rated for class A and B or types of duty S2 – 15 min. A special version for longer running is available for the S2 – 30 min duty.

Variable speed actuators SAV and SARV

With SAV .2 multi-turn actuators for open-close duty and SARV .2 for modulating duty paired with ACV .2 actuator controls, the proven AUMA SA/SAR range is enhanced by variable speed models. AUMA is spearheading market technology offering a wide speed control ratio of 1:10.

Variable speed actuator SEVEN

Use of a specially developed frequency converter offers tremendous advantages. The most important features are variability in speed, resistance against voltage and frequency fluctuations, no current peaks during start-up as well as gentle operation of the valve by reducing speed in end positions.

The proven AUMA SAEx/SAREx range is enhanced by variable speed models. With a wide speed control ratio of 1:10, AUMA is spearheading market technology in providing variable speed actuators for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.

Actuators SA-UW and SAR-UW

A sophisticated sealing system combined with excellent corrosion protection properties qualify AUMA actuators for underwater use.

Double sealed cable glands at the electrical connection safely prevent any ingress of water. Inner seals at all housing covers, sometimes coming in pairs, as well as a solid shaft made of stainless steel complete the universal concept.

Combinations with bevel gearboxes

If the drive shaft is to be displaced by 90°, combinations of the multi-turn actuators SA with AUMA bevel gearboxes GK are used.

The output torque can be increased many times.

Combinations with spur gearboxes

If the drive shaft is to be positioned at a certain angle to the output drive shaft, combinations of the multi-turn actuators SA with AUMA spur gearboxes GST are used.

Combinations with multi-turn gearboxes

With the SA 07.2 – SA 48.1 multi-turn actuators, AUMA covers a torque range of up to 32,000 Nm.

Torques up to 120,000 Nm can be achieved by combining an AUMA multi-turn actuator with the GHT multi-turn gearbox.

PROFOX PF-M

Each PROFOX is equipped with a centrally located LED: The FOX-EYE. It provides clearly visible information about both actuator and valve status. The FOX-EYE display scheme can be configured by the user as required.

With their new FQM fail safe unit, AUMA offer innovative and safe actuator solutions for automatic operation of valves in case of emergencies making use of stored mechanical energy.

Combinations with part-turn gearboxes with base and lever

If due to a lack of space, valves such as butterfly valves can only be operated via a lever arrangement.

For higher torque requirements, the multi-turn actuators SA can be combined with a part-turn gearbox with base and lever. The gearboxes are based on the worm gearboxes GS, which can be converted by mounting base and lever. Since this can also be done afterwards, this results in considerable advantages in stock-keeping.

Combinations with part-turn gearboxes

By combining the multi-turn actuators SA with the part-turn gearboxes GS, they are turned into electric part-turn actuators for higher torque requirements. These combinations supplement the part-turn actuator ranges SQ whose torque ranges are limited to 2,400 Nm.

Actuators with base and lever

The lever actuators are based on the well-established part-turn actuator SQ and therefore have the same characteristics.

PROFOX PF-Q

Actuators SG with MEC

All parameters are directly set at the MEC controls. The controls contain switchgears, power supply unit, interface to the DCS. The component automatically switches the actuator off, once the valve end position is reached, motor overheating is detected or a torque overload has occurred. The housing of MEC controls is made of aluminium provided with AUMA powder coating also achieving a premium corrosion resistance.

Actuators SGM and SGMR

Combinations with linear thrust units

To perfom linear movements, e. g. in case of globe valves, the multi-turn actuator SA can be combined with the linear thrust unit LE. In case a lever arrangement has to be operated, the linear thrust unit can be mounted on a base.

Actuator SDL/SDG

Electronic actuators with variable speed control. Electronic setting of torque and stroke with function monitoring. Power supply unit with wide range Input.

Spur gearboxes GST

If the drive shaft is to be positioned at a certain angle to the output drive shaft, combinations of the multi-turn actuators SA with AUMA spur gearboxes GST are used.

Bevel gearboxes GK

GK bevel gearboxes will be used if the operating direction is to be displaced by 90°.

Thus, the output torque can be increased many times.

Multi-turn gearbox GHT

High pressures call for multi-turn actuators providing high torques. By combining a multi-turn actuator with a GHT multi-turn gearbox, the torque range can be expanded to 120,000 Nm.

Coaxial multi-turn gearbox GP

Multi-turn gearboxes GP in combination with SA multi-turn actuators act as multi-turn actuators with higher output torques. They are typically used with stem gates and wedge gate valves. Due to their compact design, these gearboxes can also be used in confined spaces.

Gearboxes GS

AUMA worm gearboxes are used for the operation of part-turn valves and special valves (dampers, flue gas dampers, etc.).

Gearboxes GQB

AUMA part-turn gearboxes are used for operating part-turn valves (e.g. butterfly valves, ball valves).

Gearboxes GHE

Despite high levels of automation there are still valves that are manually operated. This is especially the case when the corresponding valve must only be opened or closed very seldom.
